Hugo leads research and technology partnerships for Airbus in North America and supports the definition and execution of a comprehensive strategy and roadmap for Airbus’ hydrogenpowered aircraft in the U.S. Prior to Airbus, Hugo led special projects and strategic deals in the aerospace sector for the telecommunications company Orange in San Francisco, and conducted the first demonstration of direct satellite-to-smartphone connectivity for the company. Hugo holds graduate degrees from the University of California, Berkeley and the International Space University. He serves as Board Member of the Fuel Cell & Hydrogen Energy Association and of the Airbus Institute for Engineering Research at the University of Southern California. Hugo is also an elected member of the Explorers Club of New York City.
