David Jaramillo is the CTO and Co-Founder of Verne. Verne is developing a high-density hydrogen technology platform for the heavy-duty industry, starting with Class 8 Trucks. Verne’s technology is based on cryo-compressed hydrogen. The company is backed by Amazon’s Climate Pledge Fund, Caterpillar, Collaborative VC, and has received grants from Stanford, Caltech, ARPA-E and other leading institutions. During the past two years David was also a Breakthrough Energy Innovator Fellow. David is a Forbes 30 under 30 in Energy awardee. Before Verne, David completed his PhD at UC Berkeley in materials chemistry as a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow. David obtained his A.B in chemistry from Harvard. David’s research publications have been cited over 200 times and he is the inventor of multiple hydrogen patents.
