Chet Moon is Director of Technical Service at Toray Composite Materials America, Inc. He received a B.S. degree in Industrial Chemistry from The University of North Alabama and a M.S. and Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Vanderbilt University. He has held a number of technical positions in fiber manufacturing over the last 25 years, including working in Monsanto/Solutia’s Acrilan® acrylic fiber business unit, Toray’s Teflon® fiber business unit, and now Toray’s TORAYCA™ carbon fiber manufacturing facility in Decatur, AL.
