Amandeep Garcha is a deputy director in the Fuels Sector at Natural Resources Canada. His team leads the Government of Canada’s efforts in implementing the Hydrogen Strategy for Canada. He has over 16 years of experience spanning across all major sub-sectors of the natural resource economy (including: geoscience, critical minerals, land use planning, hydrocarbons, clean fuels, and Indigenous consultation). Prior to his role as deputy director, he led bilateral cooperation for the department, with countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, India, Japan, and South Korea. He holds a BA (Political Science and History) from Simon Fraser University and an MA (International Relations) from the University of Birmingham.
